So to finish the story, when we found the Hermana testigo (the Jehovah Witness), we were really just talking to a million people because it was when we were opening the area and we didn’t have any investigadores so we gave out a lot of folletos to lots of people. Then one day this lady walked up to us and told us she read it (we really couldn’t remember who she was) and she asked if we could come to her house right now and answer some of her questions. So we did and she accepted a date to be baptized. It was a good experience and it taught me not to judge, not to say who I think will accept the gospel and who will not.
This week we went to Guadalajara again but this time was different. We went a day earlier and Tuesday night we all went to the mission house and ate dinner with the president and his family. It was all the zone leaders and the sister training leaders. We ate and then there was a talent show. Hermana Valdez and I sang a song we made up. It was a song that went along with the cup song and it was about how we feel every week waiting for investigadores to arrive to the church; everyone laughed a lot.
Also this Saturday we had an activity in relief society. We went to the hospital and gave out food for free to the people who were there visiting the sick in the hospital. It was really nice because the people are so grateful and we were able to share the gospel with them too.
Ok so in Mexico and in the states there is a big event going on right now. “HE IS THE GIFT”. I’m sure you’ve all heard about it. It was the main page in YouTube yesterday. In the mission we have cards that we give out to members and people on the street so that they can share the true meaning of Christmas with their friends and family so that their faith in Jesus Christ can grow and they can know the gospel of Jesus Christ. http://www.mormon.org/christmas
So family, I know you are going to receive these cards in your Ensign magazine. This is a really great opportunity to share the gospel, and it’s easier, because people are more aware of Christ in this time of the year.
I’m going to be able to skype on the 24th or the 25th. We still have to figure out a time though. I will be in the house of a member. I can’t wait to hear how everyone’s Spanish is coming along. Dad said you are learning together!
Can’t wait to see you all!
